FUTURE LIGHTS FOR DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION
Early Childhood Education and Outreach Programme & Recycling Unit
Since 2007, FLDO has consolidated its holistic Montessori-style Arabic language training curriculum benefiting 6,500 children in 35 preschools in some of Cairo’s poorest slums with another 10 nurseries being set up in Beni Suef in 2015. FLDO’s model nursery school which serves as the training hub for the outreach nurseries is now fully sustainable through fees and. Over 1,300 parents have benefited from the comprehensive training programme developed by FLDO addressing issues of child development, psychology and nutrition. FLDO also runs a recycling unit in Ezbet el Nakhl that produces children’s educational games and toys, providing nurseries with affordable educational tools, the recycling unit is also financially independent. SODIC has supported FLDO through AlFanar since 2009 impacting over 5,000 families through this project.
We are always fund raising for the projects we support to multiply impact and involve our wider community.
