Souk El Horreya Bazaar

SODIC and Designopolis hosted Souk El Horreya, a bazaar weaving entertainment and charity that brought a full day of family fun. Charity booths allowed guests to make donations and get informed about volunteer opportunities. Exhibitors included sustainable development projects and charity organisations supporting local craftsmanship from all over Egypt. A goodwill booth was also available, where donations of used clothes, toys and books were made, with all contributions going to charity. Performances by some of Egypt’s most treasured bands who volunteered to offer their talent for charity swept the crowd off their feet. Among the partakers were Wust El Balad, Cairokee with their hit song Sout El Horreya, Ana Masry band, Hossam El Hosseiny, Uss w Laz2 band, 10 Gharby band, Abo & Mariam duetto, City Band and the Stable Antar Children choral. Live mural painting by Barcelona artist Juan Carlos Noria amazed the crowd, painting activities for the kids entertained them and food stations offering a selection of mouth-watering choices were available. Souk El Horreya offered a chance for many to take part in the prosperity of our country.
